water park

Mom took me to the water park at Tempe Beach park with my cousins. It was unlike anything I had seen before. Water was squirting from EVERYWHERE! It took a while to warm up to the idea that this place was safe, but once I was sure I took full advantage of the place.

Strapped into my new big kid car seat I could see everywhere I was going instead of everywhere I had been.

Telling the mosaic turtle all about all the ladies that were checking me out in my muscle shirt was a good choice. He had some good advice.
This frog was very deep. We discussed the mysteries of life, mainly things like how much milk I can really consume in one sitting and how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop.
The ladies were very receptive to my charm and muscle shirt. I know how to work it.

I've got this new trick where I stand up all by myself. It works pretty well until I want to get anywhere. No fear, but instead of trying to step I spare myself the embarrassment and just get down and crawl.

When my cousins were good and tired, I was more than ready to go. Maybe I should try this walking business. My cousins can walk (and RUN!) and it seemed to help them enjoy the water park more. Lets just say I'm waiting at least until my other-one grandma comes to get my walk on.

skate park

While uncle Alex was here, I got to visit a skate park. It was so cool! Those skateboards are almost as cool as semi trucks.

I took lots of notes in case of the event that the X-games are in my future.

my days off

Mom and Dad have been super busy with school, so I haven't been able to dictate to them lately. I really need to get on top of getting my typing skills up to par. There is only so much practice I can get in before I hear "No! Computers aren't for babies!" Please. Like I'm doing any harm randomly pounding of keys. Am I right? Anyway, a lot has happened this past month. So much has happened that it should be broken down into installments. I don't want to spare you any details or pictures. To start, here is a photographic breakdown of how I keep myself entertained on the days that I stay home.

I snack on cereal - high chair or the floor - location doesn't matter.

I put the kettle on for Mom so she can have some nice raspberry tea while studying.

Good hygiene is always a top priority, so I always comb my hair and hydrate my lips.

Since Dad likes snacks after work, I try to prepare a little something for him. Sadly, I never get past playing with the wax paper. It's the thought that counts, right?

Stay tuned for my adventures with my cousins. You won't want to miss it.

11 Months!!!

As of today, I am 11 whole months old.

It was a pretty exciting day because someone decided to put on a firework show just for me. Mom talks about how much she loves fireworks, so it was pretty neat to see them for the first time ever. They did not disappoint.
I was put in charge of holding on to Amber's leash for the first part of the show. After being relieved of that duty, or just throwing in on the ground and crawling away, I made my rounds to make sure my peeps were enjoying the spectacular.
Another first for me was seeing a cicada. It was on Grandpa's porch and had just shed it's skin. What an ugly bug.
